Please join us for Introduction to Beekeeping, presented by John Hedly from the Worcester County Beekeepers Association.
John will discuss the basics of starting a hive, the physical structure of a hive, equipment, colony and organization, stages of bee development, bee chores in and out of the hive, collecting honey, and various other topics related to those subjects. John has been a beekeeper for 12 years, and has done many local presentations, which have led people to attend the Worcester County Beekeepers Association (WCBA) Bee School to become beekeepers themselves. He’s taught an Introduction to Beekeeping class and has mentored several new beekeepers.
John is a former librarian for the WCBA and is currently a two-term member of the WCBA Board of Directors.
