The library will open at noon today (12/5) due to snow.

Palmer is known as the Town of Seven Railroads because of its long, rich history with trains and railroads. Our Railroad Research Center, located across from the entrance on the first floor of the library, is dedicated to the history of everything to do with railroads, both here in Palmer and beyond. We have hundreds of books available for checkout and for in-library use, so it’s a must-see for train enthusiasts!

To get started, you can browse our railroad collection online or check out our Railroad Research eResources page, which includes a wealth of information that you can access from home, including photographs and historical railroad maps. If you’d like help with your research, you can Ask a Librarian and we’ll be in touch!
